The Blues Society of Hamilton

The Blues Society of Hamilton

Here is an interesting item I found while going through the 40 or so boxes of memorabilia I have. It is a button from the Hamilton Blues Society, which existed through the hard work of a Hamilton guitar player named John LaRocca. There was a monthly newsletter, along with T-shirts and other paraphernalia that you could get. With the newsletter, you could find out information about who was appearing in the area, when and where, a special event that might be occurring and other blues related news. John worked hard at this endeavor and deserves a heartfelt thank you from the many musicians who where featured in the newsletter. I was one of those musicians so, thank you John, for the hard work and effort you put into bringing the blues a much higher profile in the greater Hamilton area.
